Booking-system introduction

Notice checked 18 October 2026: the council’s Autumn 2026 guidance says its new booking system is not live yet. Check the current launch notice before travelling. Once introduced, it will require free advance bookings; do not assume a planned change is already operating.

Choose a current centre and check restrictions

Use the council’s current directory to choose one of its 11 centres and check opening days and accepted materials. Some vehicle types and specialist waste need separate permits or arrangements. The directory’s individual centre information should guide the journey.

Donate or collect usable paint

Community RePaint stores operate at the council’s recycling centres. Residents and community groups can collect suitable paint free after signing for it. Donations normally need to be usable and at least half full. Ask staff, check the excluded products and remember availability varies.
