Bring your resident permit

Show your free resident permit on a phone or printout at each visit. Two resident permits are available per household. Keep the vehicle details current and renew when required. If you forget the permit, the council allows one visit using proof of address; bring the permit on subsequent visits.

Vans, trailers and hire vehicles

Qualifying commercial-type vehicles need the separate van scheme. Permit types distinguish recyclable loads, non-recyclable loads and specified single visits. Check the category and nominated centre before applying. Hire vehicles have separate instructions requiring the hire agreement and proof of residency.

Access and restricted materials

You must arrive in a vehicle; pedestrians cannot enter. Gates may close up to ten minutes early so visitors can finish unloading. Check restrictions for rubble, plasterboard, tyres, hazardous waste and upholstered furniture before loading.
