Elland (Milner Royd) Recycling Centre Review

The Milner Royd site is tucked away just off the A629 Calderdale Way. It is a well-maintained facility that serves as the primary hub for residents in Elland and the surrounding Greetland area.
Unlike some of the larger sites, this is a single-level facility, so you don't have to navigate steep ramps, though you will need to use steps to reach the top of the skips for most items. It is highly efficient for general household waste, garden clippings, and electricals.
Important for Visitors: Be aware that Elland does not accept hardcore, rubble, or plasterboard; you must head to Brighouse or Halifax for those. The site is strictly closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and there is a 1.8m height barrier in place.
