A: You’ll need to prove that you live within one of the four ELWA boroughs. The site accepts a valid driving licence or your most recent Council Tax bill, including digital versions shown on a phone or tablet.
Q: Can I still visit if I’m using a hired vehicle?
A: Yes, you can. Please bring your hire agreement paperwork with you and present it to staff when you arrive at the centre so your entry can be verified.

A: Bookings are required for vans, trailers, or vehicles modified for carrying large amounts of waste. From 2024, bookings are also needed for anyone bringing restricted or DIY waste, no matter what vehicle you use.

A: DIY waste includes materials from renovation or building work such as bricks, plasterboard, flooring, kitchen fittings, radiators, and similar items. Only small, limited amounts are accepted, and you must book in advance.

A: Yes, all ELWA sites use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and CCTV cameras to monitor activity, prevent misuse, and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and legally.
