Overview

Wiltshire Council’s current HRC network has 10 sites: Amesbury, Devizes, Lower Compton, Marlborough, Melksham, Purton, Salisbury, Stanton St Quintin, Trowbridge and Warminster. The locations span the county, while the council directs Swindon Borough Council residents to Swindon’s separate service; that distinction matters for sites near the Wiltshire–Swindon boundary.

Wiltshire Council’s Household Recycling Centres are for Wiltshire residents disposing of household waste and recycling. Visitors should bring proof that they live in the Wiltshire Council area and check their vehicle requirements before travelling.

Vans and larger vehicles

Wiltshire operates a vehicle-permit scheme for vans, commercial-type vehicles and cars towing larger trailers. Household Recycling Centres are for household waste and recyclables; trade and commercial waste must not be deposited through the household service.
