Residents-only access

Halesfield and Hortonwood are for Telford and Wrekin residents. Bring a driving licence or recent utility bill as proof of address. Check opening times, queues and service notices before travelling.

E-permits for larger vehicles and trailers

Eligible households can receive up to ten e-permits in a rolling 12-month period for qualifying larger vehicles and trailers. Apply and manage them through My Telford. Staff validate the household details electronically and deduct a visit when you use a permit.

Check vehicle eligibility first: an e-permit does not override the council’s size restrictions or exclusions. It also does not allow trade waste.

Donate items for reuse

Good-quality household items can be donated for reuse at either centre. Ask the site team before placing them in a waste container. The council’s separate reuse-sale venue does not accept donations; take donations to a recycling centre instead.
