Overview
Hull City Council’s current household waste service lists three centres across the city: Burma Drive, Sutton Fields and Wiltshire Road. Our three associated listings cover the complete council network. The council describes them as household waste and recycling centres, while the directory uses shorter Recycling Centre names; this is a naming difference, not an extra facility.

Book eligible van and large-trailer visits
Hull’s free electronic permits allow 12 visits per household per year for eligible vans and larger trailers. Apply for the permit, then book a slot at one of the three centres. Cancel unwanted appointments: a missed slot that was not cancelled is not replaced.
Hire-vehicle documents
Use the council’s hire-vehicle booking route when bringing a rented van. Show the hire agreement with a Hull address and your resident’s pass or alternative proof of address. Check the vehicle size and material restrictions before arranging a hire.
Sorting, reuse and specialist waste
Separate recyclable materials before travelling. Each site has a sorting area for mixed bags, with staff available to advise. Suitable reusable goods can be donated at all three centres. Asbestos is accepted only at Wiltshire Road under the council’s specialist arrangements.
