Visiting Your Local Centre

✅ No Booking Required: You do not need an appointment to use the Bournemouth, Christchurch, or Poole centres.
🪪 Mandatory ID: Bring proof of BCP residency (Council Tax, Driving Licence, or Bill) or you will be refused entry.
🕒 Last Entry: Gates close strictly 15 minutes before the site closing time (4pm Winter / 5pm Summer).

🚛 Vehicle & Trailer Restrictions

Vans & Hire: Vans require a valid permit or a hire agreement (max 3 days). Poole has a specific car entrance with a 2m height restriction.

🚫 Not Allowed On Site:

  • Vans over 3.5 tonnes
  • Luton box / Flatbed vans
  • Vans towing trailers
  • Trailers over 1.8m x 1.2m
  • Tractors / Horse boxes
  • Hire vans over 3 days

Waste & DIY Charges

Residents get one free visit per week for small DIY waste (up to 2x 50L bags or one large item like a sink). Exceeding this incurs charges.

  • Accepted: Garden waste, metal, tyres, household chemicals, wood, electricals, and mattresses.
  • Asbestos: Cement-bonded only. Must be double bagged and paid for on arrival.
  • Prohibited: Ammunition, flares, car parts, and clinical waste.

🚲 Pedestrian & Cyclist Access

Report to the security gate with ID. You can only bring waste you can carry personally (one bin bag max). Parking outside and walking waste in is strictly prohibited.
