How to Visit

📅 Mandatory Booking: You must book an appointment online to visit the Bath or Midsomer Norton centres.
🚗 Keynsham Access: No booking required, but last entry is 15 minutes before closing. Arrive early to avoid queues.
🪪 Resident Only: You must bring proof of residence (utility bill or ID) to show you live in the B&NES area.

🚛 Vehicles Needing a Permit

A free permit is required for vans, pick-ups, camper vans, or single-axle trailers (1.8m–2.4m). Permits are only valid for visits on:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only.

Note: Bath is closed on Tuesdays; Midsomer Norton is closed on Thursdays.

🚫 Prohibited Vehicles

The following are NOT allowed at any B&NES site:

  • Trailers over 2.4m length
  • Multi-axle trailers
  • Van/Pick-up towing a trailer
  • Flatbed or box vans
  • Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes GVW
  • Tractors

General Site Regulations

  • Household Waste Only: Business waste is strictly prohibited.
  • Hazardous Materials: You must notify the council in advance for items like asbestos.
  • Lifting Assistance: Staff cannot help move items. Please bring someone with you if you need help unloading.
  • Hired Vehicles: No permit needed for hire vans up to 3.4 tonnes (bring your hire agreement).
Accepted Materials: Electricals (WEEE), Garden Waste, Cardboard, Wood, Household Batteries, Glass, Plastic, and Textiles.
