Register your car and book each visit

Register your vehicle for an online recycling-centre permit before booking. A household can register up to three cars. Confirm or update your details at least every three years to keep the permit valid. There is no visit-frequency limit under the car-permit scheme, but each visit still needs an appointment.

Commercial-type vehicles and non-resident visits

Commercial-type vehicles cannot use a car permit. Check the separate commercial-type vehicle permit or temporary one-day pass arrangements before booking a van or unfamiliar vehicle. These access arrangements do not allow trade or business waste.

A charge applies to non-resident visits. Check the current council guidance when arranging your appointment.

Plan for the materials you are bringing

Newtown Road and Padworth Lane have their own site information and layouts. Check the accepted materials, DIY charges and current service notices before loading your vehicle.
