Check height and vehicle eligibility
The Yabsley Street site has a 1.94m height restriction. Vans carrying a resident’s own household waste require the declaration and weighbridge checks; commercial and sign-written vehicles are excluded. Check the current access route before travelling.
DIY and restricted materials
The council lists one car-boot load of DIY waste per month. Tyres, plasterboard and asbestos are not accepted. Separate the load and check the full material list before travelling, particularly for liquids and other items with specialist disposal requirements.
Walking visits and reuse
Pedestrians can use the centre, following staff instructions. Ask staff if you need help carrying a bulky item. Donated bicycles are refurbished through Bikeworks where possible; keep suitable bikes separate and ask where they should be placed.
