Preparing for a booked visit
Choose the correct booking for your vehicle and the waste you are bringing. Arrive within your appointment time: the service rules say visitors arriving more than five minutes late may be refused. Sort the load before travelling. Ask staff if you need assistance, and keep children under 12 and pets in the vehicle.
Household DIY waste
Qualifying DIY waste from your own home has a free allowance of up to two 50-litre bags, or one item no larger than 2m × 0.75m × 0.7m, per visit. The limit is four visits per household in four weeks. Check the material-specific guidance for restrictions and charges before booking. Business waste follows a separate declared, chargeable service.
Visiting the reuse shops
You do not need a recycling-centre appointment to shop or donate at the Bury St Edmunds and Foxhall reuse shops. Donations at the other recycling centres require a booked visit. Keep reusable items separate from the rest of your load so they can go to the reuse containers.
