Van and trailer permits

Staffordshire residents can obtain one free household permit allowing up to 12 visits in 12 months. The county scheme covers 13 centres and excludes Wombourne. Cars, double-cab pick-ups and qualifying small trailers do not require a permit. Single-cab pick-ups and other eligible commercial-type vehicles do.

Hire vans still require a permit and the hire agreement. Check the council’s current vehicle exclusions before arranging a hire. A household permit cannot be used for business waste; trade disposal is a separate paid service.

Lower House Farm has separate arrangements

Lower House Farm at Baddesley Ensor is a jointly financed facility serving communities including Tamworth. Follow Warwickshire’s site rules there rather than assuming Staffordshire’s permit scheme applies. Weekend visits require booking, and vans have separate voucher or chargeable-access arrangements.
