Vehicles, trailers and access
A permit is required before booking when using a restricted vehicle. Restricted vehicles are generally limited to 12 visits per year.
Trailers 2 metres or longer, trailers with a tipping mechanism and double-axle trailers are not allowed at the recycling centres.
Little Stoke has a 1.8 metre height barrier, and trailers and large vehicles are not allowed at that site.
Visitors arriving on foot or by bicycle must make an appointment.
Hired vehicles
If using a hired vehicle, visitors must bring the hire agreement, along with proof of address and identification.
DIY waste
Limited quantities of household DIY waste are accepted at South Gloucestershire recycling centres other than Little Stoke.
The current allowance is up to 100 litres per visit — approximately six bags or one car-boot load — or one bathroom suite. DIY-waste disposal is limited to 4 visits within a 4-week period.
DIY waste must come from work carried out by the householder at their own home. Waste created by a contractor or business is not accepted through the household recycling-centre service.
