Allow for the lunchtime closure

Mayo’s published hours are Monday to Friday 9am–12.50pm and 1.30pm–4.30pm, plus Saturday 9am–1pm. The centres close on Sundays and bank holidays. Check any service notices before loading.

Separate free electricals, batteries and clothing

The council lists electrical goods, batteries and clothes for recycling as free of charge. Other recycling, general waste, bulky items and paint have their own tariffs. Check your whole load against the current table before unloading.

Business recycling has a separate tariff

Mayo lists a charge for recycling from a commercial source and a weight-based commercial green-waste charge. These are separate from household vehicle rates. Check that your particular business material is accepted rather than assuming the household service covers it.
