Opening days differ between the three centres

Kilmallock opens Tuesday to Saturday, while Newcastle West opens Wednesday to Saturday. Mungret has a different timetable, including later Thursday and Friday sessions. Last entry is 15 minutes before closing, so check the correct site’s hours.

Check restricted materials before loading

Plasterboard, gas bottles, pillows, duvets and MDF are not accepted through the normal civic amenity service. The council directs visitors to separate Gortadroma arrangements for certain waste. Confirm the material and destination before travelling.

Green-waste charges and free garden material are separate

The centres accept domestic and commercial green waste under their published charges. They also advertise free mulch and compost for collection. Check availability and the fee for the waste you are bringing; collecting garden material does not make disposal free.
