Overview
Inverclyde Council’s current pages show two active recycling facilities: Craigmuschat Quarry, which is for recyclable materials, and Pottery Street, which also handles general household waste. Our three associated records cover both current sites plus the former Kirn Drive centre, which the council says was replaced by Craigmuschat. Current-network coverage is complete; Kirn Drive is a legacy listing.

Vans and trailers use Pottery Street
Commercial-type vehicles carrying household waste and trailers must book Pottery Street in advance. They cannot use Craigmuschat Quarry. Contact the council on 01475 717171 to arrange access and check the relevant fair-use allowance.
Bring both identity and address evidence
Take photographic ID and proof of Inverclyde residency, such as a Council Tax or utility bill. Staff may refuse the load if the required evidence is missing. Only bring items you can unload safely yourself.
Choose Pottery Street for fridges
The council’s accepted-material list specifies Pottery Street for fridges and rigid or hard plastics. Check the correct site and leave time to unload: last entry is 15 minutes before closing. Craigmuschat may close early if full.
