Herefordshire Council provides six Household Recycling Centres at Bromyard, Hereford, Kington, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye for residents’ own household waste. The council publishes individual site information and booking guidance to help visitors choose the right facility and prepare before visiting.

Booking limits and access

All six Herefordshire household recycling centres require a booked visit. A household or vehicle can book up to four slots in a fortnight. Bring the booking pass and any vehicle permit required for your visit.

Bicycles can access all six centres with a booking. Pedestrian visits are available only at Kington, Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye, and must also be booked. Commercial-type vehicles and trailers over 1.3m require a permit as well as the appointment.

Check service notices before loading

The centres accept household waste, not business waste. Check which materials your chosen centre can take before travelling.

Check the council’s current guidance before arranging disposal of fridges, freezers or other cooling appliances, including which facilities can accept them.
