Booking and access

Visits to Hampshire Household Waste Recycling Centres must be booked in advance. Cyclists can book a time slot, but pedestrian access is not permitted at Hampshire HWRCs.

Vans, pick-ups and trailers

Vans, pick-ups and certain trailers require a permit. Hampshire’s current permit system is digital. A £20 administration fee applies to permit applications, and each permit provides 12 visits. Each visit made using the permit counts towards that allowance.

Hire vans

A hired van can be used if it has been hired for 3 days or fewer. Visitors must book using the hire-vehicle option and bring the van hire agreement to show site staff on arrival.

Visitors from outside Hampshire

Most visitors who do not live in Hampshire are currently charged £13.50 per visit, payable when booking. Non-Hampshire visitors cannot use the Hampshire free DIY-waste allowance.
