Register the household before booking

The free Residents’ Recycling Permit is issued per household and can cover up to two vehicles. Register first, then book the appropriate site and vehicle slot. Bookings are available up to seven days ahead.

Bereavement clearances need special arrangements

If clearing a relative’s home after a death, contact Cleaner Communities on 01563 554400, option 6, and request a special household recycling-centre booking. Arrange access before borrowing or hiring a vehicle.

Business recycling uses a separate permit

Commercial recycling permits cover specified recyclable materials and have separate booking arrangements. They do not authorise general commercial waste. Check the standard and construction or garden permit conditions before bringing a business load.

About this category

About East Ayrshire Council

East Ayrshire Council operates two recycling centres for residents and commercial permit holders. Cars, vans, and trailers are permitted, but you must have a Residents’ Recycling Permit and a booking slot to enter. Children and pets must remain inside vehicles at all times. Visitors should wait in their car until advised it is their turn, as the sites can be very busy. Please note that pedestrian access is not allowed at these centres.
