Overview
City of Wolverhampton Council’s current service lists two Household Waste Recycling Centres: Anchor Lane in Lanesfield/Bilston and Shaw Road in Wolverhampton/Bushbury. Our two associated records cover both facilities, so the current network is complete. The council’s “tips” page and HWRC terminology refer to the same household service; no smaller recycling-point network is included in this count.

Book vans, larger vehicles and trailers
Cars can use Anchor Lane and Shaw Road without an appointment. Vans, larger vehicles and vehicles towing trailers need a booking. For those booked visits, bring the valid permit plus two forms of identification: photographic ID and a recent household bill. Check the vehicle category before booking.
Walking and assistance
Pedestrian access is available only during the council’s specified morning and weekday-afternoon periods. Staff accompany pedestrians, and you cannot unload a waiting vehicle outside and carry its waste in. Staff can assist with items that can be moved safely, but do not provide a complete unloading service.
Donate reusable goods
Shaw Road accepts suitable furniture, bicycles and other listed household goods for the Too Good to Chuck scheme. Anchor Lane accepts bicycles only. Check the donation list: electrical goods, soft furnishings and heavily damaged items are excluded from these donations.
