Overview
Bradford Council’s current network has five Household Waste Recycling Centres: Bowling Back Lane, Dealburn Road, Dowley Gap, Keighley (Royd Ings Avenue) and Midland Road. Our associated listings cover these five current sites but also retain Ford Hill, Ilkley and Sugden End, which are not in the council’s live five-site network. The official service is for Bradford District residents.

Bring the blue resident permit
A free blue household permit is required for ordinary car visits. If yours is lost, or you still have the old green permit, take your Council Tax bill and matching identification to Bowling Back Lane or Royd Ings in Keighley. Photocopies of the permit are not accepted.
Larger vehicles need a different permit
Eligible vans, pick-ups, minibuses and trailers need the large-capacity vehicle permit. It allows 12 visits per year at Bowling Back Lane or Keighley only. Check vehicle dimensions, weight and the nominated site before travelling.
DIY limits and appliance guidance
Qualifying household DIY disposal is limited to one visit per week with two 50-litre bags or one item up to 2m by 0.75m. Additional quantities have separate paid arrangements. Check the council’s current appliance-disposal guidance before loading a fridge or freezer.
