Overview
London Borough of Bexley’s official network has two reuse and recycling centres: Foots Cray and Thames Road. Both are represented on this page. Bexley’s guidance identifies them as borough facilities for residents, while the listing titles shorten the official “reuse and recycling centre” wording. Use the individual records for each site and the council’s current access guidance before travelling.

Select a recycling centre from the listings below to find more visitor information before you travel.
No appointment for ordinary household visits
Residents do not need to prebook Foots Cray or Thames Road. Foots Cray normally closes on Wednesdays; Thames Road opens daily, apart from the published holiday closures. Bring an original driving licence or Council Tax bill. Old resident permits and document copies are not accepted.
Vans use the separate transfer station
Vans and twin-axle trailers must use Thames Road Transfer Station rather than the household recycling centres. Eligible Bexley residents have a 250kg household-waste allowance per financial year, with photo ID and proof of address required. Check access times and charges before arranging transport.
Keep reusable goods separate
Sort the load before travelling and ask staff about the reuse area for suitable furniture, bicycles, clothing, books and appliances. Tenants can use the household service for their own waste; landlord clearances and waste from paid contractors have separate commercial arrangements.
