Book medium and large vans

Medium and large vans need a confirmed slot. Book online, or call 028 9034 0056 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, if you cannot use the internet. The centres are for borough residents’ household waste.

Check the revised closing times

The five site pages list Monday-to-Saturday hours of 9am to 6pm. On Sundays, Newpark opens noon to 5pm and Bruslee 9am to 5pm; the other three sites are closed. Check your chosen centre’s page and allow time to unload before closing.

Check soil and reusable-item acceptance

Materials vary by site: Craigmore does not accept soil, although some larger sites do. Check the individual list before loading. Usable goods can be kept separate for the good-quality reusable-materials stream.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council provides five Household Recycling Centres where residents can responsibly dispose of their household waste. Anyone arriving in a medium or large van must pre-book a slot before visiting. BOOK NOW to arrange your visit. If you do not have internet access, telephone bookings can be made by calling 028 9034 0056. Householders are asked to organise and separate materials in advance to support smooth recycling operations.

Newpark: Orchard Way, Antrim (Open Sun)

Bruslee: Ballynure Rd, Ballyclare (Open Sun)

Crumlin: Main Street (Closed Sun)

O'Neill Road: Glengormley (Closed Sun)

Craigmore: Craigmore Rd, Antrim (Closed Sun)

Resident Identification & Residency

You must be a resident of the Borough to use these sites. Staff will ask for:

Photo ID with your address.
Named Utility Bill (if photo ID lacks your current address).

The Van Booking System

Standard cars and cars with trailers do not usually need to book. The following vehicle rules apply:

Medium & Large Vans: Access will be denied without a confirmed slot.

Tractors/Plant Machinery: Plant machines, including tractors, and large vehicles with or without trailers may be refused entry for safety reasons.

Essential Borough Site Rules

Safety First: Children and animals must remain inside the vehicle at all times.
Banned Items: Asbestos, tyres, and industrial chemicals are NOT accepted at any site.
Site Hours: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM (Mon-Sat). On Sundays, Newpark opens 12:00 PM – 05:00 PM and Bruslee opens 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM; the other three sites are closed.
Holiday Closures: All sites close for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and 12 July.

Borough Pro-Tip: O'Neill Road and Newpark are high-traffic sites. If you are visiting during peak Saturday hours, consider Craigmore or Bruslee for shorter wait times.
