Aberdeen City Recycling Centres: Rules & Booking Guide
Do I Need to Book?
- âś… Booking Required: If you are using a Large Vehicle (Vans, Pick-ups, Trailers) OR if you are bringing Paint or Chemicals to any site.
- đźš— Standard Cars: No booking is required for household waste. Note that having a booking does not give you priority; you must join the queue.

🛑 Mandatory: Proof of Aberdeen Residency
Staff will ask for proof of address at the gate. They accept digital or paper formats of:
- Council Tax Bill
- Driving License
- Utility Bill
- Post-marked letter
Site Restrictions & Access
- No Pedestrians: Strictly NO pedestrian access to the Bridge of Don or Tullos sites. You must arrive in a vehicle.
- Hazlehead & Bridge of Don: Use these sites for household paint and chemicals (specialist booking required).
- Weight Limits: No access for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, tippers, or tractors.
- Hire Vans: You must register the vehicle via the booking system and bring your hire documents.

All sites are Closed on 25th Dec, 26th Dec, and 1st Jan. Reduced hours (typically 4pm close) apply between 24th and 31st Dec.
Pro-Tip: To keep queues moving and protect local air quality, please switch off your engine while waiting in line or unloading your waste.
