Q: Can pedestrians enter the recycling centre safely?

A: No, pedestrians are not allowed as the site cannot safely separate them from vehicle traffic. Everyone must arrive by vehicle to ensure safety.

Q: Who is required to pre-book a visit?

A: Commercial vehicles and trailers must book in advance due to visit limits. Other vehicles, such as regular cars, do not need to book.

Q: What items can I bring for recycling or disposal?

A: The centre accepts a wide variety of items including batteries, electrical appliances, engine oil, garden waste, glass, plasterboard, polystyrene, rubble, textiles, upholstered seating, scrap metal, wood, vapes, and non-recyclable waste. Bulky items can also be taken but should be arranged beforehand.

Q: Can I donate items for reuse?

A: Yes, items like bicycles, small electrical items, footwear, furniture with fire-retardant labels, garden furniture, bric-a-brac, and sports equipment can be donated to support local charities.

Q: Are recycling supplies available at the centre?

A: You can collect recycling aids such as battery bags, indoor and outdoor food caddies, and liners to help organise recycling at home.
