Dumfries and Galloway Council operates 12 recycling centres for residents to dispose of waste that cannot go in domestic recycling or non-recyclable bins. A booking system ensures sufficient staff and resources to manage demand. Vehicle restrictions apply: no commercial or trade vehicles, no vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, and no trailers with three or more axles. Booking is not needed for those arriving on foot, by bicycle, or using a mobility scooter.
