A: Yes. Sorting items at home helps speed up your visit and improves recycling. If you forget, staff will guide you to the sorting area to separate your materials onsite.

Q: Can I bring recyclables in bags or boxes?

A: Yes. You can use bags or boxes to transport items like wood, garden waste, clothes and rubble, but please empty them into the correct skips and take your bags back home.

Q: Where should I take small electrical items like phones and vapes?

A: Small electrical items should be placed in the WEEE recycling area. These include phones, tablets, vapes and other small electronics.

Q: Do I need a permit to use the recycling centre?

A: Yes, you must show a valid permit or proof that you live in the area. Permits can be issued onsite or applied for online or by phone.

Q: What should I do with items that someone else might reuse?

A: Good-quality items can be donated at the centre, where they are passed to local reuse charities. You can also give items away through local groups or online platforms.
